Role Description
The DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing DevOps pipelines for Service Value Chains development teams.
The main activity will consist of integrating the pipelines into the IRIDE Marketplace infrastructure, using the GitLab Ultimate suite, and ensuring security through automated SAST/DAST testing. The ideal candidate will need to work synergistically with development teams to automate integration and deployment processes, optimizing workflow and improving application quality and security.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implementation and management of DevOps pipelines using GitLab Ultimate.
- Integration of development pipelines into IRIDE Marketplace infrastructure.
- Performing security testing (SAST/DAST) in an automated manner.
- Collaboration with development teams for process automation and application lifecycle management.
- Managing and optimizing Kubernetes resources, particularly RKE2 and Rancher.
- Implementation of storage and networking solutions in Kubernetes, such as Longhorn and Calico.
- Application-level traffic flow management using service mesh technologies.
- Performance monitoring and resource management using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog and Filebeat.
- Identity and access management using solutions such as Keycloak and HashiCorp Vault.
- Use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, for infrastructure definition.
Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced skills in Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms, particularly RKE2 and Rancher.
- Experience with storage plugins (Longhorn), network plugins (Calico) and service proxies/load balancers (MetalLB, Apisix).
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform.
- Excellent knowledge of observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, and Filebeat.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies and application-level traffic management.
- Solid skills in DevSecOps practices using GitLab Ultimate.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab and ArgoCD in a multi-environment context and GitOps approach.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes storage (Longhorn) and networking (Calico).
- Familiarity with service proxies and load balancing (MetalLB, Apisix).
- Skills in identity and access management, using solutions such as Keycloak and HashiCorp Vault.
Previous Experience
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines in complex environments.
- Experience integrating and managing Kubernetes environments and related networking and storage tools.
- Experience with managing security and automation in DevSecOps contexts.
- Experience with using GitLab Ultimate and monitoring and logging tools.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related. Certifications on Kubernetes, Terraform and GitLab Ultimate are considered a plus.
- Fluency in Italian and a good command of English are required
